We were on our way to the airport in Sydney for our flight to Townsville, Australia. The taxi driver and my husband were having a conversation. I was observing the driver and wondered where he was from. His face was very stern. I looked at his photo ID that was on the car’s dashboard. He looked strong but unhappy.

As the conversation continued with him and my husband, we learned that He was from Russia and is a Jew.

I began to pray and asked the Holy Spirit to please help me tell him about the Messiah. I listened closely as they talked for something in the conversation that would open the opportunity, but there was none.

As we got out of the Taxi, my thought was that I couldn’t let this Jewish man go without telling him about his Messiah.

As he took the suitcases out of the trunk, I approached him and said, “Your conversation with my husband was very pleasant. Thank you for all that you shared.” He smiled very sweetly. This encouraged my heart to speak to him. I said, “I want you to know that God loves you very much.”

He turned around and looked into my eyes. I said, “He has a Son. His name is Yeshua. He gave His life for you because he loves you.”

His eyes grew softer. I continued, “He wants you to know Him. Ask Him who He is. He will not deny your request. He will speak to you and reveal to you who He is and tell you about His love for you.”

He took my hands and shook both of them. I took his hands in mine and softly held them. They felt soft and kind. He looked deep into my eyes, searching them. I said, “His name is Yeshua. He is the Son of God. He loves you.”

His eyes grew softer and his smile sweeter. For a moment he held his gaze into my eyes. I looked deeply into his and said, “Don’t be afraid. He loves you.” With eyes still on mine, he smiled big and shook his head, saying, “Yes.”

We held our hands tightly and both of us looked deeply into each other’s eyes, smiling. Words were not needed. The presence of God’s love was enough. He knew it, as did I.

“Abba, Father, Holy of God, Israel. You sent Your Son, to the Lost sheep of Israel. Help us when you send Him through us to them.”

“Messiah, there You were in a Taxi with one of them. To tell him who You are and that You love him. What a gaze he had in his eyes as he searched for you in mine.”

“Please send more of your laborers into his life to love him in You, Messiah. Speak to Him. Make sure, Lord, that He will be with you in Heaven. Remember him.”

“Holy Spirit of God, thank You for the moments You gave to me to tell Him about Yeshua. His eyes were so sweet and his hands so kind. His heart is willing to believe in the Son of the God of Israel only because You have drawn Him to the soon coming King.”
