Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)

A slim man who was a foreigner was helping us with our groceries. Too many customers were behind us. Things were moving fast. I had to say something quickly. “What do you know about God?” I asked.

“Ahh, I don’t talk about that,” he said.

“Well, maybe you don’t, but I do. Have you heard about Jesus?” I inquired.

“Well, you know there is a difference with that,” he responded.

“Like what?” I asked.

“Like a lifestyle change. I’m not into that,” he explained.

“Oh, yes, you are right. He’ll change your life alright! You need to read the Bible and know exactly what that means. He’s the Son of God. He is the only way to heaven. You need to think about that.”

Now there were so many customers behind us. I could tell that he was contemplating what I had said. He finished helping us, looked right into my eyes, and said, “I appreciate you talking to me. I really do.”

He’s got something to think about—a little bite of that fish bait. He’ll want more.

“Abba, Father, it is always a blessing to talk about Your Son. I could talk about You, Jesus, all day long! Spirit of God, help us tell others about the Son of God. What else matters but that the heart of the one listening has heard Your Name! And You, Holy Spirit, will do the work in their hearts. Send Your next servant to this man, Messiah, to continue the work of the Gospel.”
